One of our monthly work for Onitsuka Tiger is to make window decorations for 5 stores in Europe. Making concept, getting approval, producing and shipping them to stores in Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Paris and Zurich. That's about the work.

This time themed item was running shoes called "SAIKO Runner". SAIKO means "Excellent!" in Japanese but of course it sounds "Psycho" in English. I love PsychoKiller by TALKING HEADS by the way. And "SAIKO Runner" shoes come in VERY colourful/bright colour ways.

So to combine this theme together with Japanese uniqueness, we decided to realize typical Japanese Bar alley often called "Nonbe-yokocho" "Drunkard alley". So we are now making it.......love it.......

Talking Heads-Psycho Killer-

オニツカタイガーから毎月依頼されている仕事にショップのウィンドウデコレーションを作るって言う仕事がある。彼らのマーチャンダイジング計画にのっとってコンセプトを作って承認をもらって実際に作ってアムス、ベルリン、ロンドン、パリ、チューリッヒの５店舗にそのデコレーションを送る。って言うのが仕事内容だ。

今月のテーマは"SAIKO Runner"って言う靴だ。SAIKOは日本語で勿論”最高”の意味だけど、英語にするとサイコに聞こえる。勿論僕はTALKING HEADSのサイコキラーが大好きだ。それでもって今回のこの"SAIKO Runner"のコレクションはすごくカラフルで派手な色合わせの靴なので、それに負けず日本の派手な特徴を持ったウィンドウデコレーションと言う事で”飲んべえ横町”をテーマにウィンドウデコレーションを作ることにした。少し飛ぶけど。で、現在作成中。すごく楽しい。
