Katsudon at Daruma
what i wanted to eat after coming back to japan from 1 year exchange student program in michigan was Katsudon for sure. that was when i was 16. i am much older now but I still like it and sometime i just can't stay or think without eating it. Then i take U2 and go to Daruma japanese imbiss. it was one of those day yesterday. Kurumi and me took U2 and headed to Daruma which is maybe around 40 minutes from my home. The owner, Imako-sensei who is also a caligraphy teacher doesn't disappoint us and make us smile. Katsudon at Daruma is super good.
１６の時ミシガンでの交換留学プログラムから日本へ帰って来た時何が食べたいか聞かれてカツ丼って答えたのを覚えてる。それから随分と年を取ったけどカツ丼はまだ好きでたまにたまらなく食べたくなる。そんなときは地下鉄のU2に乗ってだるまに行く。昨日もそんな日でくるみちゃんとささっと切り上げてだるまに行った。家から４０分くらいかかるんだけど。オーナーは習字の先生でもあっていまこ先生って僕らは呼んでる。先生と呼べる人が近くにいるのはなんだかいい気分だ。だるまのカツ丼は裏切らないし、先生の笑顔はいつもすてきだ。
