the concpet of the show is that Groupshow performs for andy warhol's famous film "Empire" which is projected on the wall next to them which actually takes 8 hours! and many of you know that this film looks almost like a photo image of the building. you can see only very slight lighting and focus blurring actions. nothing more so some people actually asked me where is the film shown. ha!

このコンサートのコンセプトはandy warholの"empire"って言うフィルムに合わせて演奏するって言うコンセプトなんだけど、そのフィルムは８時間あって、知ってる人も多いと思うけど動画と言うより静止画と言っても良いほどたまに入る光のずれとかピントのぼけとかそんな物が唯一の動きのフィルムで、実際たまに観客の人が、で、映画って何処で上映されてるの？って僕に聞いて来るほどだった。演奏者の真隣で上映されてるのに。

actually i was thinking i would stay for three hours or so, and go home.
行くときは、ま、残って3時間くらい。で、家に帰るだろうと思ってた。

but the music got so cool. people started to dance, people started yeaaaa-----! and yooooo----! i kind of couldn't leave. I decided to stay till the end at the time when they played for 4 hours. in the end i was still there till the end shortly before 4am when they finished the performance. totally drunk. and my friend i met there Hiro was also nice to hang around and made me easy to relax myself.

でも音楽がかっこ良くて踊り始める観客も出てひー！だ、あー！だ言い初めて、あ、これは残ろうかなって思い始めたのが彼らが演奏を始めてから４時間後。終わったのが４時ちょっと前。結局最後まで残ってた。かなり酔っぱらって。友達のひろくんを発見した事も長時間居残るのを楽にしてくれた。ナイスひろくん！またね！

I don't know, it was of course the live experience of improvisational electric music. that is kind of a musical conversation between these 3 performers. and it lasts 8 hours! an extra-long musical trip. sometime some gets high and some gets low. sometime they unite sometime not. but all in all, i just loved it. i love their music even more than before. i just enjoyed going to this musical trip with them. i feel i know much better about them in a way. i love it.

これは８時間も続くながーい即興電子音楽の旅みたいなものだからそれは体験しない事にはうまく説明するのは難しいって言うのが前提で。音楽って言うかこれはこの３人の会話やコミュニケーションを８時間音楽的に見ていると言うかそんな気がした。あるときある人はhighになったり、またあるときはlowになったり。全員で共鳴したりそうじゃ無いときもあったり。でも最終的に僕はこの人たちの事がもっと好きになった。もっと音楽的にいろんな所に連れてってもらいたいって思った。なんと言うか彼らの事をもっとよく知ったような気にもなった。

Now they go to New york this week to perform the same program. i am really really wishing their big success and good time during their stay. Jan! Hanno! Andrew! Yes! Enjoy!

それで今週彼らはニューヨークへ同じプログラムを演奏する為に行く。彼らが成功を収めて滞在期間中楽しめる事を心から祈ってる。ヤン！ハノ！アンドリュー！楽しんできて！

ahhhhh, i found another strange object on Hanno's table which was an old school telephone. looked very funny but it was not working.

あーーーそう言えば今回もまたハノのテーブルに変なオブジェクトを見つけた、それはオレンジ色の古い電話だった。見た目は面白いんだけど使えはしなかった。
